GAME PREVIEW:

After the Orlando Magic’s last game, guard Jameer Nelson said he hoped the team was still getting overlooked in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Considering the way the Magic have rebounded from their first back-to-back losses since the first two games of the season, Nelson’s wish is less likely to happen.

The Southeast Division-leading Magic go for their third straight win Sunday when they visit the Toronto Raptors.

Orlando (35-10) quickly jumped to the top of the Southeast early this season, but spent much of the first two months in the shadows of the conference’s other two division leaders - Cleveland and reigning NBA champion Boston.

Despite losing to the Celtics last Thursday and following that game with a loss to Miami, the Magic are just as much a part of the conversation at the top of the East as anyone.

GAME RECAP:

TORONTO (AP)—For once, Chris Bosh had a bad game against the Orlando Magic.

Dwight Howard had 29 points and 14 rebounds, Jameer Nelson added 18 points and 10 assists, and the Magic never trailed in a 113-90 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

Mickael Pietrus scored 22 points and Rashard Lewis had 15 for the Magic, who led by as many as 25 and have won three straight following back-to-back losses to Boston and Miami.

Bosh came in averaging close to 24 points and nine rebounds in 20 career games against the Magic.

“The two players we have been almost totally unable to contain have been (Miami’s Dwyane) Wade and Bosh,” Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy said before the game. “It’s like those guys never have even an average night against us. They’re always great. Obviously we haven’t found the answer, I’m not even sure we know what the questions are.”

Orlando answered that question Sunday by backing off Bosh, giving him space to shoot and ensuring Howard stayed out of foul trouble.

Damn I couldn't catch this. Someone is going to have to fill me in with most games now. I'm back at school and can't watch the Orlando Magic. (Australia has live games during the day, whilst at school.)
