Baltimore Orioles outfielder Michael Bourn is expected to miss four weeks after he suffered a broken finger while catching a football, manager Buck Showalter said Saturday. The 34-year-old Bourn, who was signed to a minor league deal Monday, was injured after Friday's workout. His status for Opening Day is unsure. Bourn would earn $2 million should he make the Orioles' roster, a source told ESPN's Jim Bowden. Fortunately he is only out four weeks. from other sources, the football exercise is actually as routine. He still has to compete against a field of 24 pitchers before opening day.
