Surprised there is no thread about this.

    ESPN report

    Good Truehoop article

During his college season, there were people who wanted to trade LMA for him. He looked like a 1A prospect (at least before his measurements came out), but I guess Miami wasn't so foolish when they seriously considered passing on him.

I just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Eddie Griffin.

Well at least he's not a bust like Greg Oden. He probably scored 35 points while he was checking into rehab.
I love how the arbitrary narratives start and then take on a life of their own. :sigh:

I hope he recovers and has a great career.

This thread should be titled "Beasley in rehab to avoid the consequences of his substance abuse and psychological issues..."

As much as Beasley irritates me, and represents what angers me, on what Basketball has become. I hope he can get healthy, and get his life straight.

I didn't think he'd be a great ball player, but didn't think off the court issues would do him in. He always was immature, but I thought it could be fixable..hope he gets better.

Speaking of arbitrary narratives (Oden relates to this story how???)...

anyhow, didn't Beasley also get into trouble at the rookie orientation camp?

OMG, is that lame. I am so far from being able to relate to the mindset of anyone who would tattoo that crap on their back it's like a different universe. :dunno:

I clearly remember folks advocating the LMA for Beasley trade. I just wish I remembered *who* they were. A good public mocking would seem to be in order! :devilwink:

Except that Greg Oden isn't a bust. Think what you like but it's way to early to call Oden a bust. His problem last year was staying in the game, not so much how he played.

i feel bad for him....there is nothing wrong with smoking weed, and he just made a mistake. if he was depressed before this incident i could see how itcould put him over the top. i'm glad he is getting help, and wish him the best.

more like what it has become in young player's minds, and kids minds. To where its all about ME and SCORING, I still love the game very very much, and its why Brandon Roy is such a breath of fresh air to me.
