This is getting spread everywhere so might as well post it here. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5765214
did anyone read the thing about him stealing a laptop before? They started talking about the Auburn, Ole Miss game as the Laptop Bowl.
Looks like they're digging up more and more dirt on Newton from his time at Florida. This is going to be a hard year for the Heisman voters, the award has generally gone to players with a squeaky clean image in the past. LMJ and Newton are hardly choir boys when it comes to recent past. Good thing for James, is his troubles haven't been surrounded by academic and ethics violations. The committee is probably very leary of another Reggie Bush situation.
That's what I'm thinking. I'm willing to bet this kills his chances simply because they aren't going to want to deal with another Reggie Bush.
What's this about his eligibility now? Seems a lot of issues are coming to light. Hate to pass judgment until guilt is proven....just a lot of issues arising.
Guy seems like a sleezeball. If someone is okay with cheating in the classroom, why wouldn't he be okay with cheating on the football field?
Apparently there are phone conversation recordings of Cam asking for money to play for Mississippi State. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5786315
Nowhere in that story does it say anything about anything having been recorded. If they had been, then Newton would have lost his eligibility months ago.
From Twitter there is some big news regarding Cam Newton coming in 3-4 hours. TheBigLead Jason Mcintyre by JHopkins247 WHOA. RT @WarBlogle: Ian Fitzimmons is reporting on the radio in Dallas that within 3-4 hours the NCAA is going to suspend Cam Newton. ClayTravisBGID Clay Travis by JHopkins247 Just talked to Ian, he said on air, "With this story, something big could happen in 3-4 hours." Blogger ran with quote as news. 1 hour ago Favorite Retweet Reply
Wow... well, I'm not surprised if they do suspend him. Where there's smoke, there's fire. I've always believed that.
