I thought Jrue Holiday, who has been quietly having a great year, would thrive with these two but it looks like Loser (AD) + Loser (Cousins) equals Losing.
Their roster outside their big 3 is beyond bad. I'm surprised they are getting destroyed this badly, but not that they are losing.
King I like a lot of your posts, you bring good discussion to the forums. But when you call AD a loser you go too far and look like a damn fool.
And I hope Jrue continues to suck until he finds himself riding the pine. I held onto Frasier even though he wasn't getting minutes and am jazzed at the thought of that decision paying dividends.
It's going to take them some time to see if they can figure out how to play together. Both are used to basically being the #'s 1, 2, and 3 option on their shit teams up to this point. And they both play almost the same position.
The book on the Pels will be to pack the lane and dare them to shoot from 15 feet out and further. If Cousins gets into foul trouble in any game they are screwed.
Don't think it's that easy. Both Boogie and AD shoot and pass well, so if you double team one the other will be open under the basket or out on the wing. If the Pels had better shooting from their 1&2 they would be insane.
According to the New Orleans radio crew everybody but Davis and Cousins combined for 19% shooting in this game...Cassipi probably a bit better than the others....
Pels announcers calling it spot on. HOU is probably the worst matchup in the league for them, and it's their first game with Cousins so all things considering he was integrated well.
I bet kingspeed hasn't watched a second of this game. Just looking at the box score and doing his usual.
I watched this game and Holiday was absolutely awful. He could not control the pace, was frequently out of control, and consistently turned the ball over. Pelicans need Holiday to be great every night because none of their other guards or wings can create or score the basketball. Pelicans are at least a year away from making any kind of noise.
Tim looked much better out there with the bigs. I think Frazier could win the starting job back in NO.
