OT: Mo Williams Retires

I didn't know he was thinking about it. Apparently, neither did the Cavs.

Crap! I followed the ESPN headline and misspelled Mo's first name. A little mod help to fix it, please.

 

He got his ring. Leave while on top. Dont pull a Steve Blake(Mad respect for ya SB!).

 

Mo’s retirement plan is to buy a Krispy Kreme franchise.

he runs his basketball academy in Dallas. I think he'll just probably continue to do that and chill.

 

Always liked Mo. I knew he was still up in the air about his future. But it's kind of sad he won't be in the league any more.

Cavs actively shopping Mo Williams after reaching impasse

Terrible lack of communication in CLE. Right now, Mo Williams is under contract, has not filed retirement paperwork with the league and had knee surgery on Oct. 12. He can't play and they need a back up PG.

Sheed claimed retirement long before he signed the actual papers..I read Mo planned to retire...must be a money issue..they are balking at buying him out maybe and he's leaving the option to ride the pine for a season

 

I wonder if Olshey can figure out a way to get another draft pick out of CLE out of this. CLE can't waive him and use the stretch prevision to spread out his contract over 5 years (they missed the deadline), but POR can. As it is CLE is set to pay $32 million in luxury tax. They seem pissed at Mo and Mo seems pissed at them.
