Not sure how much this helps the Cavs, they now have two huge stiff centers.

Shaq, playing for a city where there's no palm trees?

Danny Ferry's doing everything he can to keep The King in Cleveland. Don't know if this will do it, but it's a nice gamble I think.

D-12 won't be able to dominate Shaq like he does Z.

Oh God. ESPN is gonna hype up the CLE vs. LAL shit even more now.

PHX wouldn't have done this without consulting Ben Wallace about retiring prior to making the deal official, so if they waive both Sasha and Wallace, they'd be right at $58 mil.

Wonder what this means about their future with Nash....

I don't know if this was mentioned in the deal as it is now, but I remember reading that Shaq would only go to the Cavs if there was a guarantee that LeBron would play there for the next 3 years or so.

This officially puts Phoenix in rebuilding mode. Wonder what it takes to get Nash now. But I don't think we have to worry about Phoenix challenging for a playoff spot next season.

Hmm, I don't see how that kind of thing can be guaranteed with Shaq expiring next year. I don't think Shaq can last three more years.

Bad move by Cleveland. Shaq leaves a wake of destruction on every team he plays for. This ensures that Lebron leaves in '10.

    No, not quite.

Wait for the announcement tomorrow where Phil Jackson retires from the Lakers to coach home games in Cleveland.

I guess it depends on what they get for Amare if they decide to trade him. The Suns could be brutal for a while if they are going back into rebuilding via the draft.

No way they make this move without getting the blessing on LeBron.

"We are all witnesses to Shaq destroying another team!"

although this makes cle stronger we only play them twice, whereas now we get to beat up on phx for 4 times :D
This definitely is worth the risk for Cle, b/c those 2 gave them nothing...seems like everyone is gunning hard for this title in 2010

Add Clevland to the list of teams that are clearly better than us now as well. Shaq is on the downside of his career, but he is still a dominant force in the paint. Great, great move by the Cavs. Hey, we moved up 2 spots in the draft though

Watch Cleveland opt to keep Shaq and trade LeBron for Antawn Jamison and Etan Thomas.
