There has been some trash talking going between me and my friend because he thinks he has a MUCH better fantasy team than I do. I was just wondering which team you guys think is better and would rather have. Thanks, BTW it's ROTO league scoring. My team: PG: Chris Paul SG: Joe Johnson SF: Rashard Lewis PF: Lamarcus Aldridge C: Al Jefferson G: Michael Redd F:Gerald Wallace UTIL: Devin Harris UTIL:Z Illgauskus UTIL:Thaddeus Young BENCH:OJ Mayo BENCH: Randy Foye BENCH J.R. Smith His Team: PG: Moe Williams SG: Jason Richardson SF: Danny Granger PF: Carlos Boozer C: Dwight Howard G: Andre Miller F:John Salmons UTIL: Rudy Gay UTIL: Tyson Chandler UTIL: Kevin Love BENCH:Mike Bibby BENCH: Al Thorton
Don't worry, your team is much better. You have better PG's meaning better assists, and they are elite steal men as well. He has worse FT% by default of having Howard (and you can't punt a category in Roto). He does have an advantage in FG% though due to Howard and Boozer together. Blocks appears to be about even. Granger and Wallace offset, and your bigs are comparable (Boozer getting no blocks balances Howard getting a lot of blocks for your opponent). With Rashad, JJ and Redd your 3PTM should be ahead as well. Looking into your bench, I think you net out slightly ahead in points as well. Points is always close though and injuries will certainly affect that. With Chandler and Boozer and Howard he will kill you in rebounds. As for turnovers, I usually don't keep that stat in my leagues because I don't like the idea of penalizing good players, but my guess is that you'll have more because you have more guards who handle the ball a lot. Advantage You: Assists, FT%, 3PTM, Steals, Advantage Him: Rebounds, Turnovers, FG% Tiebreaker: Points, Blocks So it doesn't appear that you have a huge advantage, but I'd be more comfortable entering a ROTO league with your roster. Howard will destroy his FT% and he'll be near the bottom of that category. It's hard to win a roto league when you end up in last place in a category. Cheers ~ BM
I'd say your teams are pretty close, but give you a slight edge. Looks like he's got one more bench spot to fill.
I also think the teams are almost equal but I would say the OP team is a little better. It does depend on what stats are counted in your league though.
Your team is much better than your friend's team. Gotta start JR Smith though. That kid is ready to blow up.
I think Rudy Gay and Danny Granger are going to be huge fantasy players this year. I also think that Devin Harris will be better than his fantasy draft position. I wouldnt be surprised to see J.Johnson be a much better fantasy player this season than he was last season and some of the "fantasy experts" predict that JR Smith could be a very solid fantasy player this year. Guys on your roster that I dont think will live up to expectations are R.Lewis, M.Redd, and G.Wallace.
