Who deserves the next title shot, Overeem or Stipe? A case could be made for both. I, personally, think Stipe deserves the shot but you can't go either way. Overeem beat JDS who beat Stipe, but Stipe has been damn impressive over his last 5 or so.
With the UFC's obsession with trilogies we shouldn't assume either of them will fight for the title next. I agree that either way works. Rubbed me the wrong way when Stipe demanded a title shot after beating Hunt (directly after losing to JDS) and his incensed demand this weekend didn't help. Dude's been close to a title shot twice and blown his eliminator like Bisping. Reem's win is better but technical Reem seems like an illusion rather than a new reality. This is a guy who gets KO'd.
