Wow. The Packers had every opportunity to win this game, and they screwed up all of them. How on earth can you give up a first down on 4th and 26? What the heck was Favre thinking when he threw that interception? Yes, McNabb played a great game, but the Packers handed this one to the Eagles on a silver platter.

The Eagles and McNabb are overrated. When I see a game like that one, I have to wonder if the NFL is fixed. Green Bay controlled that whole game and didn't try to convert a 4th & 1 that would have sealed the game and then gave up that 4th & 26. Oh yeah and then Favre just threw one up there for noone. Ummm.... I won't say it, but I'm not happy with the outcome.

Sorry about your loss PACK, does this mean that we will have to see FAVRE again next year? FAVRE always seems to throw at least one interception in a playoff game that's big, why is that? If he is back then the PACK will have another shot next season i'm sure.

All pack fans sorry wonderful year and like
i said all along greenbay would take the
nfc north and make noise, this team has
    a wonderful future.

People point fingers point them at the
coach. Sherman and his coaches made
poor desecions and i feel so bad for the
packers defense who played there ass's off.

    Favre isnt the blame.

Favre didnt make the call to punt on 4th and 1
with 2 minutes left. Especially when green was
    unstopable.

Favre didnt call the cover 2 defense with no blitz
    on mcnabb with a 4th and 26.

    Blame the coaches.

I agree with Bucs 100%. Mike Sherman was a pussy and pussies don't win in the playoffs. Green Bay still over-achieved ... none of the NFC North teams are playoff caliber. It proved how weak the NFC is this year. The Eagles or Panthers will get blown out in the Super Bowl. The real Super Bowl is next week at New England.

I agree ZACKMAN but maybe the NFC NORTH will be back next year(hopefully)! I agree that the winner of the COLTS- PATS game will be the superbowl winner but you never know!

Bad decisions cost the Pack this game. I say kick the field goal before halftime and go up 17-7 knowing you're going to get the second half kickoff.

And you're right...go for it on 4th and 1 and put the game away. Oh well... We played tough. Eagles won't win the whole thing either, I don't think. Stephen Davis and DeShaun Foster should run all over them next weekend.

Everyone's right...this came down to bad coaching decisions. Sure, blame Favre for making a crap throw at the end, but a game shouldn't come down to one play.

Why didn't they keep running Green? I don't care if Phili would have been allowed 2 extra players on the field and dedicated everyone to the run, Green still would have picked up 3 yards a carry.

Here is a list of mistakes that the Pack made in my estimation:

    1. Didn't run the ball enough.
    2. Resorted to pass plays on 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3 far too often. The pass game wasn't there like the running game.
    3. Should have kicked the field goal before halftime.
    4. Should have gone for it on 4th and 1...no hesitation on that call.
    5. Should have kept up with the blitz on 4th and 26 and played a better coverage than a weak cover 2.
    6. Should have ran the ball more in OT. Phili was worn down emotionally and physically. A stead dose of running would have killed them.

I don't think I've ever watched a game where bad coaching was the sole reason a team lost. I hate to say it, but no one from the NFC North deserved to be in this game.

Anyone here read TMQ on NFL.com? If so, you'll know why the Pack lost. Take the points early, go for it late... one of TMQ's main points throughout the season. Fourth and one at the goaline is tempting, but at that stage in the game, TAKE THE POINTS!

That 4th and 26 was amaizing... I thought the game was over, then I thought I was watching the Vikings, then I realized it's just another mediocre central team that probably shouldn't have been in the playoffs in the first place. Oh well. Hopefully the central will represent better next year.

lol whats good is, this thread we all agree.
Nfc central is in a growing process they will
be better next year. Minn, greenbay all had
    wonderful seasons, its unfortunate someone
had to miss the playoffs. Detroit is in the
rebuilding mold and if they play there cards
right they could be scary next season.
Draft a franchise rb like stephen jackson or
kevin jones and watch harrington have a rb
to help there pass game. Minn draft a few
more players on defense and watch them take
the north. Fire sherman in greenbay and talk
holmgrem to come back, the ingridients are
there to win. The chicago bears start with a
head coach, and some players on the
d line. All teams are capable of being much
improved teams next year. As a tampa fan
we miss the nfc north rivarly games.
