We had a hopefully productive draft, a productive free agent period and now we're hopefully looking at some trades.

    Gosh I sure hope so!

Glad to hear him say trades if as believed he will be pushing for (orchestrating?) certain moves.

Discuss this meager tidbit of what passes for news in the Summer Doldrums.

with our current roster, i can't really see the Blazers not making at least minor trades. I;m just hoping for the BIG one.

It's July 19. Normally, a week ago, Quick would write, "Pritchard smiled a lot and is really happy with the team as it is, so don't expect any more moves this summer besides that 3rd round pick we traded to move up in the 4th round and get a bench-warming dogcatcher a week ago. Besides that clever maneuvering, which took 1000 e-mails to Paul Allen, there probably won't be anything this summer, but you never know about that trade-happy genius. Sneaky fellow," Quick would conclude with an admiring schoolgirl giggle.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I am just waiting to see our guys stroke it from deep. It could be a very long season but hopefully our bigs will grow and grow as the season comes and goes.
    thanks

I could have sworn I heard him say we're in a "dead zone" until the season starts.

Actually, he said we're in a "dead period" and the team now "has a chance to catch its breath" and "he's excited to get started again next fall."

    Hmm..............
