Last time an American president presided over a middle-east peace treaty when the economy was in the shitter he was defeated soundly, and in that case it was actually an actual peace treaty between Israel and it's neighbor that it fought 4 wars with - Egypt. It's a photo-op between a failing president, a PM that is fighting corruption charges while his country is going back to quarantine because he fucked up their early Covid-19 success and 2 distant Arab emirates that want American jets. The only potential positive I can see is that maybe, just maybe the Israelis will wean themselves from America’s teats. The whole “Israel is the only thing keeping the Middle East from blowing up” has gotten exceedingly tiresome. They’re a feisty country but it’s amazing how much more you can accomplish with America in your corner They have become a very self entitled (and even arrogant) bunch the past couple of decades. And, all things considered, they don’t appear to have a great deal of respect for America except for what we can do for them. Kinda like most of the rest of the world at the moment.....

Where has peace been made? Between Israel and UAE? They are both US allies who have never gone to war with one another. There has been an informal alliance that has been made formal in exchanged for US sending weapons to Israel and UAE. Netanyahu has gotten a much needed face lift in the face of his own scandals. Israel gets most of the land they have been fighting Palestine for. Palestine meanwhile has been backed into a corner after Trump cut aid to them and recognized Jerusalem which Palestine has contested as the capitol of Israel. They are not happy and are not feeling peaceful. The warring between Palestine and Israel will continue. And, it will get bloodied as we arm Israel. I am sure Russia is probably arming palestine as we speak.
