Rather then continue to hijack a thread with an offhand comment I'm curious. Do all the adult readers of this forum actually think the NBA is PED free? Please present your arguments for and against here. Now that CP3 has presented a united front with management and we wait with bated breath for the next leak I thought I would pose this one to the forum. google some images of players from 1985ish for comparison I don't want the inevitable "You can't compare D. Ho to Duckworth/Kareem etc." type posts.
Yes, too many millions of reasons not to. Would anyone really be upset if we learned Oden was using HGH to help rehab?
Nope, cause I strongly believe most of the league uses PED's. I don't really care much, the era of innocence for me has been over since I was about 12 years old on this count
Certainly there is some of that going on. You can go all the way back to the 60s, when it was an open secret that most players used "greenies". Of course, it also depends on your definition of "PED." In MMA, *pot* is considered a PED! I would love to meet the chucklehead who came up with that notion!
I agree probably been in the league since Wilt's day. I believe the watershed moment was that bruiser Knicks squad from the Nineties and their "legendary" strength training program. When basketball started to turn into vertical football.
It was starting to become more obvious with Malone and Robinson in my opinion with the watershed being the 90's Knicks. Zo is another candidate. Look at the majority of players especially ones who were a tad older. HUGE difference.
Broken link but wasn't he on the Knicks? Just look at highlights from the 70's then the 80's then the 90's (excluding NYK) then the 00's with Lebron and Dwight. The change is unmistakable.
Looks tiny compared to most PF's today and not just height wise. But that's what this thread is for to hear and I guess see both sides of the argument.
