    Hey Guys, I'm the new mod of the Phillies sub-forum and here's just a brief piece of important history about the Philadelphia Phillies.

    We have won two World Series Games, once in 1980 and most recently in 2008 against Tampa Bay.
    We've been to the World Series in 2008 and 2009 but sadly lost against the Yankees.

    I'll leave this rest for anyone else to post in.

    Yes Denny some great names! Steve Carlton is one of my favorite pitchers! Broke my heart when he left St Louis.

    Luzninski's was a big boy. His legs (each) were about as big as Roseanne.

    Schmidt was maybe the best 3rd baseman of his time. 12 time all star, 8 time NL HR champion, 10x gold gloves, 3x MVP.

    I feel like Charlie Manuel won't be coaching the Philles in another year or two. I feel like pressure will come down on him like Andy Reid.
