Gerrit Cole spent two innings tinkering with his offspeed stuff. After watching the Milwaukee Brewers scratch out a couple of early runs, the Pittsburgh Pirates' burgeoning ace decided to just stick to what he does best: Throw hard. Challenging the struggling Brewers with a fastball that topped out at 99 mph, Cole guided the Pirates to a 5-2 win on Sunday. The hyper-intense righty struck out six in six innings as Pittsburgh finished off a three-game sweep while leaving Milwaukee with its worst start in team history.
