It's here. Pitchers and catchers are set to report to Tampa tomorrow. On these cold wintery days I like to think about baseball.

Yeah, after a fall and winter of watching the Giants, Rangers and laughably bad Knicks spring and the Yanks can't get here any faster.

Jacoby Smellsbury will not start Spring Training with The Yankees and wont be able to resume Baseball activities until March due to Hip issues and Plantar Fasciitis. Clint Frazier could be his replacement as per The Yes Network.

It does but still such a joke. One of the worst contracts ever.

Carston Charles Sabathia, 38, signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Yankees in early November after posting a 3.65 ERA -- his lowest mark since 2012 -- over 29 regular-season starts in 2018. After signing the contract, he said he planned on the 2019 campaign being his final season in MLB, and he'll make that official this weekend.

This past December, Sabathia underwent angioplasty for a blocked artery. Sabathia had the procedure in which doctors insert a stent to open the artery after experiencing chest pain, acid reflux and an unusual amount of sweating while exercising. Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that the club will "slow play" Sabathia for the beginning of the season.

Boone is bullshitting early this year. We already know that CC had problems making certain plays off of the mound prior to his most recent medical issue. I'm far from a Doctor but I'd say that his most recent medical issue in conjunction with his size may warrant more no play over slow play. In addition I saw an ESPN Article stating Bone went to the Dominican and dined with Sanchez and his family. Boone now swears that Gary is going to play to the best of his capabilities. I don't know how many of you feel but I was not much confident in Boone when he took over, a confidence that had now eroded to zero.

Just in. Yankees have been made 6 to 1 favorites to win World Series! Have these oddsmakers overlooked
Yankee neophyte manager, Aaron Boone? Look for these odds to rise as his errors fall under mass scrutiny.

One reason that justifies skipping non-Yankee Players like Harper & Machado. There is much proven talent on this Yankee Team. Pay them and keep them instead of fortune hunters.

^^^^^would not be surprised that CC will retire before the season. That leaves Trashbin scurrying to get
another starter which BTW, the team still needs.

Saw the Press Conference video, I wish the man the very best in the '19 Season. But like you posted Cage if he goes out earlier I won't be surprised. Last year I felt that there were cover up stories on players and the truth was not being told. With Sabathia will see what we shall see and yep the search for an additional starter probably should have initiated when Sabathia has his recent health issue.
