Playing PS2 games on PS3

    I dug out Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 for PS2 the other day and tried playing it on my PS3 and for some reason the controller won't work when I try to play it. I've played other PS2 games on it so I know it's backwards compatible and all that. Any reason why this certain game won't work?

    I don't own a Playstation, but it might not be fully compatible?

    There is no PS3 model in existence that can play every PS2 title. Even if your PS3 is backwards compatible.

    I've only played several of my PS2 games on my 80GB and the majority of them just freeze.

    Nothing you can really do about it.

    Eh, I went and got a used copy of SD vs Raw 2010 for my PS3 for 35 bucks. Thanks for the replies anyhow. :D
