He who owns the boards owns the game. Cavs are dominating the glass.

Maybe we can load up on even more PF/C types next season.

We only have 6 PF/C types on the roster. Not enough.

    7 if you count McMorrison.

Noah is not the same. Gibson was hurt early in the season, was not the same. Niko needs to add muscle.
We added Rose and vastly improved Butler, and a double-double machine in Gasol and could not beat the depleted
    Cavs.

This might be correct, but you know what is also true? The Bulls were just buried by the likes of Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith. Those guys are not stars or starters, they're just playing well above their abilities because that's what happens when players are put in positions that allow them to flourish.

Does Matthew Dellavedova have anything on E'twan Moore? I would say no. Yet one played hero and the other played benchwarmer. Moore, Snell, Mirotic, McDermott, Gibson, Noah, Gasol, Brooks(!) . . . find me one Bulls role player in this series who played up to his abilities.

And so the Thibodeau era comes to an end. Hopefully Paxson will join him on the picket line. It's time to clean house and see if the front office can remake this team into one that will play up to its talent, maybe dare forbid even better than its talent. I'm looking forward to next season. Let's see if the Bulls can come back healthy and turn heads, now that D. Rose has had a season to work back into the flow of things.

It was a good season, folks. Let's do this again next year.

I would hire a new GM and let him decide who he wants as coach.

Thibs will end up in NY turning the Knicks into the team for us to fall to in the playoffs. If he ends up in Orlando, they're going to be great for a decade. The Bulls will fuck him over by trading him instead of letting him go where he chooses, no doubt.

Wherever he goes, he'll be paid twice as much and I'm certain he won't go to a team with a dysfunctional front office again. Been there, done that. It sucked.

What happened in this series is LeBron would guard whichever of our players got hot and ended the "hot."

Our bench, including Niko, was horrible from the opening game. It's not like Thibs didn't play the guys enough - that was rather forced on him by management interference and injuries that weren't supposed to happen because of that interference.

We got killed by athletic bigs all year long. That's exactly what Cleveland threw at us: Thompson and Mozgov.

Thibs is a gamer. He'll try to win with whatever hand he's dealt, but seriously was dealt a losing hand.

Think about it. Our starting SF was 34 year old DunVP who basically started about half the games he played in for his career, 1/4 of those as a Bull. His backup was McMorrison. Jimmy's backup was Kirk. Whoever made this roster really stunk it up.

Fred Hoiberg is eminently qualified to be a pro head coach. His record at Iowa state in conference was 49-39, and he made the sweet 16 once in his 5 seasons there.

Players come and players go. Coaches come and coaches go. The results are still less than spectacular once we make the playoffs. The only constant is... GarPaxDorf.

The best thing about the season is we made the 2nd round and played the full 3 home games in the series. Good for Profits. We all know that's the bottom line for the organization (pun intended). Even if some of us won't admit it.

As for Delavadova and the others doing well...

The Cavs played 4 guards. We don't have 4 guards to match up well with them. Rose, Jimmy, and two of: Kirk, Snell, Brooks.

When we countered by going big, a guy like Niko had to guard a guy like Shumpert and got his ass handed to him at the defensive end. That's the honest truth.

We had nobody able to stop Thompson on the offensive boards tonight. That meant leaving guys open for 3pt shots to help rebound.

Delavadova shot .400+ from 3pt for the season. No surprise there. Shumpert played way beyond expectations, guarded by DunVP - go figure.

I don't expect a great win for Bulls, but losing by 21 points while Irving also was hurt and only playing 12 minutes.

I'm happy that I decided to go to bed and not watch this game.

    Our complete bench 21 points...Dellavedova 19 points, JR Smith 12 points, Jones 9 points --> 40 points
