They have the best chances against the Sixers and Magic but they wouldnt meet the magic unless both teams went deep into the playoffs. Detroit isnt frightening without a healthy wallace and the celtics are licking their chops at the chance to prove they can beat New Jersey. I think Indiana would prove the toughest matchup for the Celtics
How they do in the playoffs really depends on if Pierce and walker can get going at the right time. The Piston fans hate us just cuz we beat them last year in the when they had homecourt advantage.
yea, dont mind the piston fans. theyve always hated the celtics cause of the numerous times theyve been humiliated by the green in their history. The celtics though have a better top two players than anyone in the east and in the playoffs it often does come down to the team with the best player(s) on the court.
We can not beat New Jersey in a 7 game series, we just can't keep up with them. Sixers would be good to play so that we can have atleast one decent pick in the draft. Indy well I djust have a feeling that we may be able to beat them. They do have a deep team though so OB would have to play Kedrick more, if that is the case he should start to get him into the rotation more. Pistons wouldn't be bad to play either if Wallace is still out. They would have a tough time defending Pierce!!
yea but new jersey CANT defend pierce. he's been cold last few times hes faced em but he was averageing 37 points a game against them. he's gonna pick up his game in the playoffs like he did last year and hes gonna have to cuz hes had kind of an off year but dont think for a second we CANT beat new jersey. theyve shown just as much weakness as the celtics this year and the only thing that keeps them ahead is jason kidds ability to run the fast break and get easy baskets. celts dont have to beat them at their own game but they have to run and just be thugs on defense and intimidate the soft players like kmart and jefferson etc. mutumbo will slow them down some as well

Finals they employed a Zone Defense, he still dominated but not to the extent the Celtics needed.
bad news for the celetics. at the last minute philly and indy swithc places so boston willl face indiana in the first round. i dont think theres any team in the east who CANT be beaten by any other, but of the top 4 seeds indy should present the toughest mathcup for the celtics
Really, I don't think facing Indy is a bad thing. They do have depth and that is a little scary but really the east is wide open. Yes, I would have rather have faced Philly but Indy is ok. Hopefully Pierce and Walker getting limited time in the allstar game can light a fire under them and they will go out and prove something to Thomas. GO CELTICS!!!!!!!
Oneal is very scary. Miller has good luck against the celtics. they have to hope that indys point gaurds cant run the offense. the celtics cant do anymore of this standing arond on offense if they hope to last more than a week in this sereis
