I swear there was a thread talking about podcasts recently. I couldn’t find anything on a search. Anyways I’ve been big on listening to podcasts while at work lately. A lot of Bill Simmons, Pat McAfee and Joe Rogan which is hit or miss. Any recommendations? I prefer sports, but doesn’t have to be. Anything to true crime, politics, etc….
American Scandal - Multi episodes telling a story. Well done, some trippy shit. Mobbed Up, The Fight for Las Vegas - Title says it all. Some great stories. Podcast is done by some long-time reporters of the Vegas newspapers and the Mob Museum. Infamous America - Historical true crime. Very good. 30 for 30 - Really good podcast by ESPN for sports lovers. Whistleblower - The full story about the Tim Donaghy scandal. A must-listen for hoop fans. Murder in Oregon - The story about some nasty corruption in Oregon.
All sound great. I’m sure I’ll love that Vegas one. Always been very interested in anything mob related.
Not sure if it'll be up your alley but my favorite podcast is Darknet Diaries. It's kind of a mix of true crime and technology. I highly recommend it to anyone that is even a little nerdy. Your Mom's House is my all time favorite, but that is definitely NOT for everyone.
I've been listening to that. The dude is so melodramatic it reminds me of an old-time radio show. But it is good.
Yeah, he is kind of flat. He get's a lot of interesting guests though. The one about the Bangladesh Bank Heist was nuts.
