Even with his play in Preseason, I am slightly surprised that they picked it up for Shabazz. Every dollar is going to count at the end of the year but I guess POR is almost guaranteeing a trade by next summer at the latest.

Or they feel good about the new CBA in general.

I AM NOW GOING TO BE IN A FEUD WITH YOU, SUCKA! I HOPE YOU LIKE IT, BECAUSE FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON WE WILL BE ENEMIES! IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DRIVEN ME AWAY FROM THE BOARD!

btw, feud means "a state of prolonged mutual hostility, typically between two families or communities, characterized by violent assaults in revenge for previous injuries."

I say they make a trade by trade deadline even though the fans will fall in love with all the players.

And, they'll fall in love with the guy(s) we get back in the trade, too. That's the way this fan thing works. Unless a player spits on the fans, or shits all over the organization, the fans like them and root for them to succeed.

Shabazz has been impressive for a third PG and 2.4M is pretty cheap for a serviceable player. No brainer picking up both options.

Sad thing is Vonleh has shown this pre-season what Batum never showed. A consistent motor.
And well Napier is anything but afraid to shoot like Batum always was in Portland.

I still have my doubts on both of them ever becoming key pieces. But we'll see.
Depth is certainly not a problem in Portland like it has been in the past.
