Yes its way too early and this will change in the next few weeks... but based on what we know now here are my rankings; 1 Jazz - Very good team all around last year, huge upgrade from Rubio to Conley 2 Nuggets - Deep young team which will lead to regular season success 3 Blazers - DameCJ at peak, but Nurk injury, poor forwards, depth are concerns 4 Clippers - Free Agency will push this team up or down more than others 5 Thunder - Paul George can only do so much on his own, Westbrook is becoming Carmelo 6 Spurs - No elite talent, great coach and execution 7 Lakers - Best NBA duo? If the front office could get lots of effective role players with little cap room... this is the team that key FA signing was Rondo so not very likely 8 Rockets - Capped out / CP3 has lost a step 9 Kings - Fun run and gun team that could push for a playoff spot 10 Pelicans - Finally have assets to build around a star, unfortunately had to trade one to get them 11 Warriors - Curry and Draymond can't carry a depleted roster through 82 games 12 Timberwolves - Need a second key starter beyond Towns. 13 Mavs - Awesome twin towers but a few years away 14 Suns - Rebuilding but with puzzling trades 15 Grizzlies - Rebuilding Edit; please also provide explanation of why you think any teams will perform far differently than conventional thinking.
As things stand right now, we are back to where we were a few years ago. A play-off back-court, a lotto front line (until Nurk recovers), and a lack of depth. Olshey is going to have to pull some impressive rabbits out of his hat.
OMG (not Oh my God) not sure I agree, I think we will benefit from the recent playoff experience and the maturation of a couple players. I actually think when its all said and done our bench will be as good or even better. This team has incrementally improved each of the last 4 years and I'm expecting the same next. I do respect your opinion however and you could be right and maybe even miss the offs?
Dallas will be playoff team if KP is healthy. Esp if they get Al Horford. On that note, Celtics are gonna be baaaad next year.
It’s obviously gonna go... DEN PDX LAL UTAH HOU LAC GS SAS And then the 7 will sweep the 2 and we will all freak out.
