Kind of what you may expect in a preseason home game against an on-paper-inferior team, starters dominated, bench guys played some "let's find ourselves, now that we're on a court" ratball, and a 24pt lead was given up. But on a happier note, we heard that concession prices at MODA are in regular season form!

Can't quite do much better in a late-1st-rounder's preseason debut. Hustle, buckets, rebounding, modicum of defense, even feeling his oats enough to attempt some "uh, yeah, don't do that" passing equivalents of Heat Checks. He's still learning the team, the playbook, and the League, but I like what I see so far.

    Monster Games
No one really got enough minutes for a double-double, but Hats Off! to Dame, who jacked up a K*be-esque 15 shots in 15 minutes.

    Monster (Negative Games)
Layman and Patty Ice combined for 2-14, -27 +/-, 3 reb, 3 TO, 6 fouls.

But, it seems the vitriol was only for Mr. Connaughton:

So, um, any publicity is good publicity, amirite?

As you may imagine, Caleb's 18 points on 10 shots (1.8) leads the way. Well done!

    YouTube tip of the night:
    Questions for the Group:
    1. Do you think there's any chance a rookie starts at PF?
    2. Do you think that the Dame+CJ+ (both Collins and Biggie) lineup gets minutes in the regular season?
    3. Did you see something tonight that you think carries over to the regular season that you didn't expect?
    4. On an Excitement Scale of 1-10, how much do you care about positions 11-15 in the rotation as they work it through Preseason?

    5. How can this post be better? Anything you'd like to see? (I'll work on getting it up earlier in the day--(insert SPD Viagra joke)-- once I get used to staying up until 3:30am to finish it). Feedback always appreciated.

1.) Biggie will start at PF

2.) Yes, hopefully more that meyers and Biggie together but probably not

3.) I saw what I expected to see. Davis at the 4 is something i didnt quite expect, since stotts primarly has played him at the 5. I can that see going foward into the season.

    4 ) 5

    5.) It can't

I like the idea of the toughness, rebounding and shooting Biggie can provide off the bench.

I don't know how long it will take, but I think Collins at PF next to Nurk in the starting lineup is the future.

There's a very good chance that Swanigan or Collins will start at PF. I'd be happy with either one.

I wonder if he knew it was because he was only playing 15 minutes?

    Ways to win:
    1) more posts in the game thread
    2) pulling a Kingspeed every once in a while
    3) Though honestly, I'm not sure you could've out-hawt-taeked B4E last night

Well, if he can rebound, he'll have plenty of work when Turner/Aminu/Mo substitute in...

Think it's a Batum situation (Starting from Opening Night b/c of fit, even if not totally ready?) or a "when you log 1000 practice minutes under your belt, then we can talk about starting?"
