Should POTUS send in the national guard to get relief to the people? I think so. I'm very worried that this is going to be a humanitarian crisis beyond belief. Trump should send in more national guard / troops post haste. It's not enough to get the aid to the port when the entire infrastructure is broken. They need to get the aid to the people. Anyone disagree? Edit: Link Marco Rubio is right
Over 100,000 Puerto Ricans are leaving the island for Florida. It's enough to turn Florida to the dems. We have to save Florida, time to make Puerto Rico a state.
San Juan mayor: 'I am begging, begging anyone who can hear us to save us from dying' http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...-am-begging-begging-anyone-who-can-hear-us-to
Trump sent the National Guard in over a week ago, and US response overall has been monumental, considering the difficulties in transportation and logistics in an already decrepit and crumbling infrastructure with basically no local government help. All this fake news about a supposed weak or slow response is complete bs, created by the usual DNC suspects. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/09/2...steria-starting-to-spread-plead-for-help.html
Hirricane Maria hit two weeks ago. The governor was practically begging for more help on Monday. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Trump told him to not make him look bad on this, or else. Recall the January conversation with the Mexican president. Hopefully POTUS is doing everything he can. However he seems more preoccupied with golfing in New Jersey, campaigning for Strange, the NFL, talking about how he is really doing a good job, and talking about how PR is surrounded by big ocean water. It doesn't exactly instill confidence.
The Red Cross isn't sounding too good in this either, I was reading that a food shipment that one of the shelters got in from them was Skittles. For 2 days that's all they've been eating.
I'm sure it was a corporate donation. Wrigley gets to unload some aging inventory and get a nice deduction. "We donated over $1 million for hurricane relief to the Red Cross."
Why bother?? The Republicans would just gerrymander it back to a Republican state like they have everyewhere else....
