Well personally, I can't wait to BEAT L.A. on Tuesday. One of my best friends is a hardcore Laker fan, and we've always had a Blazer-Laker rivalry going on. What better way could there be to start off the NBA season than to beat the Fakers?

Anybody have big plans for watching the game?:ghoti:

It would be great to see it happen, but I don't expect anything. I think we ought to hope for the best, but keep our expectations somewhat realistic; there's a good chance we open the season 0-5.

Going to the game. I hate going to Blazers Road games in hostile arenas...just bad to be in an environment where everyone's yelling at you.

    Especially Los Angeles.

Can't wait though. Should be epic.

I agree, I went to a game in Utah one time. I'm not from Portland but I went with three guys who are, the Jazz fans were talking crap the whole game. Mighty mouse hit a three to tie the game and send it into overtime. We were going nuts. Eventually the Jazz won on some stupid call (Okur hit a three and got fouled). Jazz fans followed us all the way to the car talking trash.

Yeah. Might bring a jacket to wear on the way out so I don't get into it with Laker fans either way the game ends. Sucks that I'm going by myself since I was able to buy a single ticket, which doesn't help.

Same reason I don't watch laker games at bars in LA or try not to. I get into too much shit.

Sweet another Blazer fan in Arizona, I live in Chandler. My boss is a Laker fan, so there will be years of trash talking between us. I think they get the upper hand on us this year, but starting next year I get the last laugh. Of course if Kobe goes down with an injury they very quickly become just an average team

There are quite a bit of Laker fans out here, but they dont annoy me as much as the Suns fans. The Suns fans all talk like they are entitled to a championship, I hate the Suns more than the Lakers since I moved out here from Portland. I'm so toked for this season to start though. I have a group of six wearing Blazers jersey's for the season opener on Tuesday, we are out in Glendale, which is a drive from Chandler, but the more the merrier.

I'm taking work off, going to my buddy's place (with the giant hi-def flat screen) and we're gonna get loaded and watch the game and cheer our little lungs out.

    Oh, sports.

I agree except I don't think there is a good chance we start 0-5, but there is a chance. I've been keepin' my expectations to 47-51 wins.

Unfortunately I have to wait. The game is not until tomorrow. :drumroll:

However I am like a puppy wetting the floor, I am so excited!!! The team can lose the next four but not this one.
