I don't think anyones ever gave him a chance to prove himself. How many games has he actually started (from start to finish) in his career?
Eli Manning had a QB rating under 60 his first 200 passes (even with a running game and some other stuff), Quinn has less attempts than that. Quinn could still be an average QB in this league, not sure about Eli level but respectable enough.
I'm hoping you chose him because of his great accuracy. BTW, this is my first time using smilies. There were so many to choose from.
But what does that have to do with Quinn? Way too many expectations for this guy. He can still be good, he's had less than half a season of attempts.
I think the cards were stacked against him from the very start. Young QB's that have sat on the bench for at least a season tend to play much more composed when they finally see the field. Quinn didn't really show that composure, and while that may hint at his deficiencies, I believe he didn't receive good coaching while on the sidelines. Additionally, he's had very little to work with. His only real target was a talented, but drop-prone malcontent with one foot out the door, and there was virtually no running game to take some of the pressure off. I'm definitely not saying he'll amount to anything. But he hasn't been given a fair shot yet.
