Agreed - need to win in regulation or our very slim playoff chances evaporate. Then we focus on ending the year strong, and being a very good team from start to finish next season.
Yeah, I have to say I am very pumped for next season with how they have been playing coming down the stretch here. Their last 11 games are going to be a good test. They are playing meaningful games to end the season here which is good experience. If they happen to wiggle their way into the playoffs that would be amazing but I still think finishing 5th in this division is a huge positive.
I don't like Bitetto in over Halek for this game. Poor D on the Isles goal. With that said, since the Trouba hit the Isles have spent the entire time in the Rangers zone, so an Isles goal was only a matter of time. Need to raise their game in the 2nd period to be in this game. The other thing I'll add is playing the Devs is not a good test for the Isles. We go from playing a soft team sort of mailing it in, that allowed the Rangers to pass all over the place for pretty goals, to a team like the Isles. We need to play a straight ahead, hard nosed, shoot the puck game against the Isles. Pretty much the opposite of what we did against the Devs. Let's go in the 2nd. Next goal huge.

Horrible first period for the rangers. Only Igor keeping isles from 3 or 4 goals already. Didn’t think the hit on Trouba was h that bad. Surprised he had trouble standing. Looked like he got his skate caught in a rut and hurt his ankle. Also may have made contact with the board with his head. I hope Kreids gets an assist for the lazy turnover trying to clear right to Pageau for eventual goal. Bitteto is friggin horrible and can the awful howden lose the behind the back passes. We had some chances but couldn’t put the puck in the net. Need a much better effort in the 2nd.
Yeah, not a good effort so far. No excuses, but coming off playing the Devs 4 straight, this is a whole different world for the team. Also not a good game to lose Trouba. Hopefully they learn from tonight, and maybe even make it a game still. A lot of time left to play.
Still being manhandled by the isles. Need Schneider more so than Lundqvist for the better teams. Also, Lindgren has been horrible tonight. Starting to think Lindgren could go down the line in a deal leaving a left side of Miller, Jones and Robertson. Season over if we don’t pull this one out and need to see a lot less Blackwell, howden and Rooney and kravtsov on with panarin and a lot more time with the kids. Also, would like to see Kreids and laff switched up. Hopefully we find a miracle in the third and pull this one out
Embarrassment. Martin should have been leveled and knocked out of the game. However, this team has no balls when it counts and it's coach is a fucking retard. You see it every time there is a big game.
Think that's pretty much a wrap. Maybe we see some Jones in the last few weeks then onto the draft and trade speculation ramped up.
Wait, the Rangers lost a game in regulation for the 5th time in 21 games, and the coach haters are whining, wow I didn't see that coming. Funny, and once again predictable. And shockingly it's the same guys over and over again.
