http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/08/03/lawmakers-ransom-to-iran-put-americans-at-risk.html "Republican lawmakers are fuming over a bombshell report overnight that the U.S. government airlifted the equivalent of $400 million to Iran this past January – as four detained Americans were released by Tehran – and say the transaction has put more Americans at risk of being taken hostage."
If we took up a collection around here, we could probably come up with a few hundred bucks to pay the Iranians to take you.
I noticed the samet hing.. I usually go through the morning gamut of news sites, and it is really funny watching the "Clinton News Network" do their agenda. Rather sad actually.
Air lifting crates of cash? The outrage is that it was paying cash for hostages. It encourages Iran (or others) to take more hostages to get paid ransom.
Write em a check. Don't make the payment in exchange for hostages. "But U.S. officials also acknowledge that Iranian negotiators on the prisoner exchange said they wanted the cash to show they had gained something tangible."
It's much ado (on Fox) about nothing (on CNN). As far as dropping bombs on Iran goes, I'd rather go with dropping boobs. I nominate Hillary and The Donald to go in the first wave.
I told you folks...he's tanking really hard..Bill O'Reilly's tv job is his ultimate goal. Trump doesn't want to work at all...he just wants a soapbox that's not so slippery
I think we know very little about this negotiation and the hostages were just part of a bigger deal...to think, we could've used that money to build another plane that doesn't work and scrap it after failed trials..the crap we waste money on baffles the mind. I'll bet the hostages are happy at least
"But U.S. officials also acknowledge that Iranian negotiators on the prisoner exchange said they wanted the cash to show they had gained something tangible."
I read something last night that really made sense. It seems we are finalizing a deal to give Israel 5 billion a year. Americans want to know why we just give billions away all over the world. Someone mentioned that it is a way to keep our currency the main currency used around the world. It makes sense, we don't send the 5 billion worth in gold. We don't have it.
So did the companies who got hundreds of millions to build failed prototypes...at least the hostages were freed...the prototypes are sitting in a graveyard somewhere. I think this was also a big part of finally getting Iran to stop it's weapons program...another bonus. Entering a war with Iraq might actually be more expensive than buying them off.
