Welcome to the Raptors forum's official draft discussion thread. Here you free to make fun of the European's with funny accents, lament the Raptors' decision, play hopeful optimist, and pretend like you know better than people who are paid to make basketball decisions. I'm sure threads will pop up after each Raptors pick, but here we can have a running discussion on everything. Should be fun. Also, you can check out Sportstwo's live coverage of the draft. It'll update after each pick/trade in the event that you're not near a TV, and will have links to discussions of each individual pick. The draft will be on The SCORE at 7PM.

Re: Raptors Draft Party 09 (Discussion Thread) I am excited, this draft is pretty unpredictable. damn, knicks just bought the lakers pick.
Re: Raptors Draft Party 09 (Discussion Thread) Holy shit, if that Amare trade goes down it would be CRAZY! I would if Chris Bosh would net what Suns would get in return.
Re: Raptors Draft Party 09 (Discussion Thread) that rumoured trade is infuriating. we could have netted biedrins, bellini, brandon wright and the seventh pick for chris bosh who hasnt got past the first round in his five years here. however, colangelo seems to believe he's the second coming of kg
That's the one they kept bringing out about Bosh, but I never thought it was realistic. If the Warriors give that up for Amare, I'll be annoyed at a missed opportunity.
I was wondering why deception was randomly rocking a Jacko avatar. Didn't know he died. That's messed up...
i heard colangelo on raps tv before the draft saying that he wouldnt make any moves altering the core (largely interpreted to be bargs, bosh, caledron). he went on to say they would only make peripheral moves because he liked his core. btw, this was after the vince and shaq trade. colangelo is pathetic!!! colangelo lives in bizarro world (where a losing team is thought to be the best team ever!!!)
trust me it isnt a smoke screen- he's has no room to move. he just hasnt assembled the horses to compete in the east
well the first two picks went without much surprise. I think the next few picks will be a bit unpredictable. I don't really know where OKC will go with Thabeet gone. James Harden, totally forgot about him.
I think OKC wanted him all along. They went to a lot to keep that smokescreen going (hiring a Spanish law firm and all that). Rubio has to be next. If not, I'd consider trading up (dunno with what, though).
