"Colby Rasmus had three hits, an RBI and a stolen base as the St. Louis Cardinals trounced division rival Houston 10-2 on Friday in an exhibition game at Osceola County Stadium.

Taking advantage of a hitter-friendly day at the windswept ballpark, the Cardinals laced the Astros with 16 hits. Nine of the Cardinals' 10 runs were scored with two outs.

Allen Craig had two RBI base hits, driving in Rasmus after his leadoff double in the third inning and then scoring Rasmus again with a two-out single in the fourth inning.

Matt Carpenter, who started at third base and batted ninth, struck a two-run triple in the second inning to open the Cardinals' offensive bonanza.

The Astros aided the Cardinals with three errors.

The offense backed Kyle Lohse in his Grapefruit League debut. The right allowed one run on three hits through three innings of work -- the first of the Cardinals' big-league starters to complete three innings this season. Lohse made 41 pitches, 30 of which were strikes.

Miguel Batista pitched into and then out of a bases-loaded mess in his inning of work. The Astros' second run came against the veteran righty, who was making his first appearance of the spring."
