<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Seattle SuperSonics guard Ray Allen will see an ankle specialist after an MRI exam Thursday revealed a loose particle in his right ankle.

Allen, a three-time All-Star who joined the Sonics in the blockbuster trade that sent Gary Payton to Milwaukee last February, complained of soreness during Seattle's preseason win over Golden State on Wednesday night.

He left with two minutes remaining in the third quarter and didn't return.

Allen was examined Thursday afternoon and didn't accompany the team to a public scrimmage in Bellingham, Wash., at Western Washington University.

Allen, who was scheduled to visit a specialist Friday in Seattle, averaged 24.5 points in 29 games after joining the Sonics last season. </div>

If he has to have surgery..He could end up missing 3-4 weeks..which could really hurt the Sonics. They play the Clips twice in their first two games and then have a little break I think....Hope he recovers...I'm hoping for a big year from Ray this season..

Makes sense that Frahm made the roster then, that guy can stroke it big time.

    from ESPN

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Guard Ray Allen will miss at least the first two games of the season because of a right ankle injury. After seeing an ankle specialist Oct. 24, Allen plans to seek another opinion early next week in Los Angeles. He then will decide what type of surgery to have. It wasn't known how long the injury will keep the three-time All-Star sidelined. Allen, who averaged 24.5 points after joining the Sonics in a trade from Milwaukee last season, first noticed the injury during practice Oct. 21. </div>

Reports have said he could be sidelined for 3-6 weeks...

Looks like Rid and Flip might get their chances, looks like Bones and Daniels will start but there should be plenty of reserve minutes too. This will prove whether Shard and Radman can carry an offense too.
