Rays traded Edwin Jackson to the Tigers for Matt Joyce. Jackson is a 14 game winner with a 95 mph fast ball but struggles with control especially with runners on base. Matt Joyce is a above average defensive outfielder who is 24 and under team control for 6 more years with pretty good power, he will stay in AAA to start the season and may be called up later in the season or in 2010.

The Rays are also in talks with Bobby Abreu, Jason Giambi and Milton Bradley.

I like Milton Bradley to become our DH, and Abreu as a RF if the price is right. I would rather pay more money to Bradley out of all the three.

I dont know if the Delmon Young reacquiring talks are still on but in that deal Jason Bartlett would go back up to the twins because the Rays have two top prospects (Reid Brignac who is ready and Tim Beckham- 1st overall 2 years away). This deal still may be alive because Matt Joyce wont be ready next year and Delmon young is a lot cheaper than Abreu.
