This was an interesting read. Wonder what you numbers guys feel about this. The numbers never lie, right? http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/04/war...tatistics-point-differential-defensive-rating
The Warriors are much further ahead of the rest of the NBA this season in terms of net rating than they were last year. It'll take an even more epic choke job not to win the title this year.
The fact that when things aren't going well you have all the options they have had in the past, but can now either run KD off some screens or go directly to him in the post is insane. Hope our boys make a good showing, and should keep their heads up regardless.
I haven't checked since before Durant went down, and I even created a thread about this: The Warriors have the best (or was it 2nd best?) Ortg's in the history of the NBA. The problem isn't that the Warriors don't have weaknesses, the problem for Portland (and any other team) is that they have so much room for margin of error. For example, they can have 3 mediocre quarters and still win.
They have have more firepower than ever before but interior defense does matter and when they play a team with good bigs or players who can get to the basket at will, they will struggle. Cleveland may look like garbage right now (I personally think they didn't give two shits about the regular season and they had a lot of injuries) but they're being slept on and right now they have a team that will match up well. Out of the west teams, honestly only teams that can scare the Warriors stylistically are the healthy Clippers and us with a healthy Nurk and even then those are likely done in 6.
And we're a better team too. Last year we took out two of the Clipper's best players, this year I'm expecting the Blazers to take out 3 Warrior starters.
