Good to be reminded of how good this team can be, but at the risk of being a buzzkill, it's only one game. It took me some time to believe in this team and then it took some time for me to begin to doubt them. Nothin's worth nothin' if it ain't consistent.

When are you not a buzzkill?

Sorry, I'm mistaking you for me!

We're so good we can play this guy and still win!

Stunning how the guy can play more minutes than Taj F'n Gibson.

Derrick Rose drove hard to the rim. The defense was at its stifling, suffocating best.

More than anything, the swagger was back and so were the Bulls.

For the record, the role-reversal thing wasn't lost on me. I simply chose not to mention it.

    As for Hinrich:

    1) Thanks for highlighting his PER...you know how compelling I find that stat.

    2) I realize that I kind of get caught in the role as Hinrich's defender, but I genuinely hate seeing him in the starting lineup. He's been an offensive liability. I applaud Thibodeau's use of Snell, rather than Hinrich, in the starting lineup. The past few weeks have convinced me that Butler's offensive renaissance was aided by him playing SG.

If you want to dismiss PER, you can't dismiss every other statistical category including the advanced ones. The ones that say Snell is already a better player. I think the only categories Kirk beats Snell is assists and minutes.

Over the last 6 games, the guy has averaged 4 PPG, only one of which did he play less than 24 minutes.

My gripe isn't that he's playing, it's that he should only be playing in garbage time or if Snell, Moore, and Brooks can't play for some reason. If McBuckets can play, he should be getting minutes instead, too.

A 7.6 PER, like it or not, in the starting lineup is a gaping wound.

You have come around to my point of view. I was putting the exclamation point on it.
