It looks like another former WWE star could be headed to AEW soon and that may explain why he declined to sign a new contract. It was noted in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the belief among people in NXT is that the former Malcolm Bivens (Stokely Hathaway) didn’t sign a new contract with WWE because he’s going to AEW. That hasn’t been confirmed by anyone but that is what people in the company think and that might explain why he initially declined to sign a new deal last year. He was convinced to sign an extension last year but declined to sign a deal this past February.
