I just got back from a convention with my daughter, and one of the booths had a bunch of Mt. Rushmore themed pictures. Here's the one for Rip City - Clyde, Rasheed, Dame, and Walton. Not bad. But I would have put Lucas instead of Rasheed. Or maybe even Petrie. Is Dame a given as one of the 4? Should Porter be there instead? What's your Rip City Mt. Rushmore?
I almost automatically assumed I'd put Dame there. but I looked it up, and here are some of his standings for Blazer records: Total points: #11 Total games: #22 Total playoff-games: #18 Maybe he isn't a lock.
Bill Walton Clyde Drexler Arvydas Sabonis Bill Schoneley Sabonis defines his era more than Wallace (or Stoudamire or Grant do). Roy didn't play enough. It's too early for Lillard.
Is there a more important moment in the past decade of trailblazer moments than this? I still watch this clip when I'm having a bad day and it lifts me up. It's easily a franchise defining moment.
Leaving Petrie, the very first Blazer (and All Star) off is like leaving Washington off of the real Mt. Rushmore. Lucas belongs there way, way more than Wallace. I cant believe its even in question......
After thinking about this for a long time, I'm just going with the championship team ....or say the top 6 guys at least and he coach.....if the mountain is too small just make them all have smaller heads
