The Road Warriors took control of the Everblades early and didn't look back in route to a 5-1 victory.

Jyri Niemi scored the first goal of the game and first of his season at 5:43. The goal came on the powerplay as Brandon Wong and Marc-Olivier Vallerand tallied the assists. That would be only score in the frame as Greenville pounded 15 shots on Everblades goaltender Rob Madore. Scott Stajcer saved all eight shots that came his way.

Jordie Johnston scored 3:06 into the second period to bring the Road Warriors on top 2-0. Brendan Connolly blasted a shot wide that Johnston banked in for his tenth of the year. Halfway through the period, Matthew Pistili scored his 13th of the year to bring the game within one. Mike Ratchuk fired a shot from the point that dropped along the goal line for Pistilli to knock in. Mike Marcou would bring the game to a 3-1 score with his sixth of the year. Marcou came in from the blue line and found a loose puck to put in the net with seven seconds left in the period.

Sean Berkstresser scored to begin the third and bring Greenville on top by a score of 4-1. Berkstresser received a pass from Steven Delisle and stepped into the zone with a shot over Madore's shoulder. The Road Warriors denied Florida's offensive opportunities and only allowed six shots in the third period. Vallerand put the icing on the cake with his 14th of the year. Nelson won a battle in the corner and fed Vallerand who fired a wrist shot past Madore. Stajcer was the game's first star and took the win with 23 saves. Madore was the losing goalie with 30 saves. Wong was the game's second star and Vallerand was the third star.
