Have any of you discussed the potential of this cat becoming a Blazer? I really like him, and what he brings to the table, and hope that, somehow, Olshey could pull the trigger on acquiring him.

It's been suggested in other circles that Harkless + a 1st Rounder (etc.) might not be out of the question to acquire him.

    Thoughts?

Yes, but I feel like the common thought is that he isn't all that available.

That being said, Harkless and Meyers for Covington and Dieng works salary wise. Would guarantee us not having the Full MLE, but we wouldn't have as much of a need for Hood with Covington on the roster.

Problem is, Minnesota probably asks for a pick with that as well. At that point... It's rough. Might have better luck just waiting to see what becomes available at the trade deadline.

Little aside, what are draft pick(s) at this point? I mean, we're a WCF team with plenty of great youth!

It may be worth it if we offer our 2021/22 pick with some protections.

Covington rececntly had knee surgery after from a setback he had after a knee bone bruise earlier..2 knee injuries leading up to last April...probably just cleaning debris but still a consideration....is he that much better than Jake Layman ?

He’s a lot better than Jake Layman, it really shouldn’t even be questioned lol

If Baze/Nas/Layman can hold down the 3, which I think they can, I agree with a few on here saying we should be going after a 4 who can space the floor. Just imagine if our forwards could of hit open 3s last season.

Rumors have it that Minnie is looking for a young prospect, draft pick (s) and filler. One site suggested Little as a key component. Maybe a 3 way with Harkless or Leonard going to a 3rd team?

It really is. "RipCity Project" is nothing more than a fan site. That "article" was just fan speculation. There's no sourcing, no support for his idea whatsoever. It could just as easily have come straight outta this forum.

I never made any assertion as to any validity it may or may not have. It's still not the same as some anonymous poster in a forum posting a trade idea. The guy does have a decent website working

"Blazersland" is also a decent website. Doesn't make any of Chris Craig's columns any more legit than any forum posts. (No offense Chris)
