Purdue quarterback Robert Marve has been medically cleared to play and might make his season debut Saturday against Southeast Missouri State.

Marve has been battling right knee soreness since the middle of training camp. He missed the final eight games of last season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Boilermakers coach Danny Hope said Tuesday that Caleb TerBush will start on Saturday and that he'll try to get Marve on the field.

"He can help us win. We want Robert Marve to play, we want him in the games," Hope said.
