The Redskins have traded Reciever Rod Gardner to the Panthers for an undisclosed draft pick. Good pick up for the Panthers and how does the recieving core look now.

i think its gonna be a 3rd rounder. because Henry got traded for a 3rd round pick and he is of the same talent level.

Gardner is gonna have a breakout season next year, when he plays with a good QB. WRs dont get big numbers when there is QB controvesy.

I see about 68 recs next season playing with Jake Delhomme. If steve smith doesnt fully recover i see more like 75 recs

Son a of XXXXX. Just when all is well a above average receiver goes to team in the NFC South. Oh well, another WR to shut down come week 1.

I think Gardner will be the #2 guy come week one, if they go three wide they will use colbert on 1st and 2nd, but 3rd down belongs to Ricky Proehl who is the man on third down.

Gardner was a very seldom used talent. Great pick up for the Panthers. Although I don't think he's worth a 2nd rounder.

I'd take the wait and see approach on Gardner....I'm not sold he could be a legit #2...I'd rather see colbert get the shot...Gardner is too slow off the ball..

Knowing the Redskins, I would not be surprised it's a very low pick, that team is totally retarted.

Since It's conditional, I bet it could be anywhere from a 6th rounder to a 2nd rounder, depending on his performance.

hes not gonna be a 2nd round pick, more like 5th or 6th or 7th.
Gardner was going to be released soon by the redskins anyway. Its not gonna be a high pick. The panthers just wanted to him not going to free agency and having a 50% chance of getting him

Example:Sauerbrun traded to Denver for 7th round. Sauerbrun was gonna get released but Denver knew that a lot of teams were interested so they offered a 7th round pick.

i agree on the wait and see approach...he has been too inconsistent to make me overjoyed to see him...granted, he is a good pickup, i just hope s smith and r proehl, as well as the coaches, can be a positive influence on getting his consistency level up...

I'll be looking to draft Gardner in FFL this year. He could be a great late round steal.
