At the moment he is better then Rose, but Rose has a higher upside and will most likely develop into a superior PG and a top 3 PG in the league. Although if Rondo develops some consistent range and starts shooting well from the FT line it may very well be him and Rose/D-will/CP3 battling it out for the best pg for years to come.
Rose's game is that of a conundrum, there are times where his game leans toward Dwade and times where it tilts to Chris Paul. Right now he's closer to Wade than Paul but I hope his game develops into the latter, can you imagine, a bigger, faster, stronger and far more athletic version of Chris Paul? That would scary.
He is not better than Rose. He's playing with three and now with Shaq four future hall of famers. Boozer is gonna be the best player that Rose has played with.
All three and now 4 of those hall of famers are way past their primes. Rondo is easily the best player on the Celtics.
I disagree. Rondo has no jumpshot and dominates games already. Imagine how good he could be if he developed one.
I think that Rondo is a better PG but Rose is a better player. IMO if you put Rondo on the Bulls and Rose on the Celtics for the last few years, Rose would clearly outshine Rondo. I just don't see Rondo carrying a team without a more than decent supporting cast BTW 44Thrilla: Rose isn't known for his defense at all. Plus it was Rose's rookie year while it was Rondo's 3rd year in the NBA. Things have changed since then
I think Rondo is a better PG right now, or at least looks like a better one playing with 3 HOFers. He was extremely lucky to be in the situation he is in. Anywhere else and I think he is another talented attitude problem. The C's were hesitant to give him an extension and were shopping him as recently as last summer. And he still doesn't have a jumper and can't hit FT's. I think Rose will pass him pretty soon, but Rose has to work hard to do it.
Says who, you? Are you some kind of NBA insider? As far as I know, that was just a bunch of BS speculation based on a 2 year old quote from Doc Rivers in a Jackie McMullen ESPN.com piece
