<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>David Blatt is the new Head coach of Dinamo Moscow after he penned a two years contract with the Moscow based team.Dinamo searched for a new head coach in the last month and according to reports - Sergio Scariolo was close to sign for the club.but at the end it is Russian National coach who will take control at the club.
Blatt already coached in Russian superleague with Dinamo St.Petersburg at the 2004/2005.before that he was a coach at Israeli club - Galil Elyon and after that went as assistant coach to Israeli coach Pini Gershon at Maccabi Tel-Aviv(99/00-00/01) .in the 2001/2002 season he was hired as Gershon Successor and led Maccabi to the Euroleague final-four in 2002.in the 2003/2004 season he was again the assistant of Pini Gershon at Maccabi and won the Euroleague trophy and after that went to Dinamo St.Petersburg.
After winning with St.Petersburg the FIBA EuropeLeague he signed for 2 seasons at Benetton treviso.winning the double in the first season and the Italian championship at the second season.
This year he was the head coach of Efes Pilsen but was axed in March.
In Dinamo he will earn according to reports in Russia - 1.5 million euros per year.and the club budget will rise more in attempt to winning the Russian league, and the Uleb cup and getting back to the Euroleague competition.</div>

Blatt is one of the best coaches in Europe right now IMO, a great pickup for Dinamo if they're truly hoping to compete with CSKA next season.

Great signing. Still got a ways to go to catch CSKA and even leapfrog Khimki, but with Theo Paploukas aging, and Anton Ponkrashov possibly going to the NBA (I expect him to stay at least for a year with Khimki), they are at least rising up the board.
