What's your pick for most moribund, no-hope desperate franchise? Some perennial candidates have made moves to improve their futures and even their presents (Sacramento, for example). But obvious candidates include:
Chicago - where's their scoring going to come from? Did you know that Rolo was their highest-paid player?
New York - at least they have Porzingis... but they paid Hardaway Jr. HOW much?
Phoenix - they took fliers on Bender and Chriss - and both of them are looking awfully bust-ish.
Indiana - now Oladipo is the face of the franchise?

But my nominee for by far and away the saddest NBA franchise is Orlando. Jesus, they must have the worst scouts in the league. And they're paying Bismack Biyombo OVER SEVENTEEN MILLION A YEAR. They need to be purged from top to bottom. The last time they had this little talent at least they weren't paying them anything and they had Doc Rivers as coach.

NYK is building around Porzingis, nnd they drafted Ntilikina, PHX builds around Booker and they drafted Josh Jackson and Indiana gonna build around Myles Turner

CHI is a disaster, they have no one to build around and they dont even have a present

Do they FINALLY get to use their pick next year?

I'm not a fan of D'Angelo Russell, but he's at least shown he's not a bust. But yes, they're probably top 5.

Dunn must be worse than Napier. I'm pretty sure they finish last in the league. They are absolutely terrible. Their only hope for the future is some guy coming off an ACL injury.

For now, Dunn will eventually turn things around; I don't think Dunn will ever b a superstar but I think he'll be pretty decent.

They don't. That's why they are a sad sad team. Remember it was sent from Boston to Cleveland in the Irving trade
But they do have the Raptor's lottery protected pick (lol)

theres five sure playoff teams in the east (CLE, BOS, WSH, TOR, MIL - no particular order), with MIA likely to be 6th seed, then Id put CHA probably as 7th seed, and the rest will fight for 8th seed

back to CHI, theyre bad, but so are other teams that will fight for 8th seed, so they could win than spot, but like I said, theyre all bad, so anyone but ATL and NYK could win that spot

as far as Dunn and Markkanen, I dont rate Dunn and Markkanen is a rookie, so no one can know whats he gonna be like... I forgot they have LaVine, but hes not a guy you build a team arount, so theyre only hope is Markkanen Id say

anyway, Id say their future is not bright...

Definitely not Phoenix. I like their young nucleus.

Chriss is only 20 and has only played one year. Bender only one year as well.
Warren, Booker, Jackson, Len, all good young players.

And Bledsoe is only 27, Knight 25

Yeah Phoenix is lucky/smart to be rebuilding at the perfect time while the rest of the West chases GS for the next 4 years or so haha

    Low hanging fruit.

C'mon y'all, it's easily Brooklyn. They literally have no hope in sight. Also, they just took our sloppy 2nds.

    Now they have Crabbes.

It's definitely Orlando. They have a bunch of guys that can't play together and no one that can shoot. Who would you even call their best player?

Brooklyn owes another of their 1sts.
New York's owner seems to get in the way when something good is about to happen to them.
The Lakers fans may turn on them when they still suck because they don't play defense.
Orlando is overpaying 2 dudes, but they're young, and have some good pieces, but not nearly enough.
