She was given equal opportunity the way I heard it yesterday and you are naive to think that Jody and her legal team wouldn't give her every opportunity. There were three people that made it to a personal interview with Jody, Becky was one. Possibly, she didn't interview well or simply to convince Jody she was the one.
You seem to be much better at picking avatars than you do making threads, so, here's to your strengths!
Or, Billups was Lillard’s choice after Kidd withdrew and there was no way in hell Olshey was going to risk upsetting his star point guard.
I would think that since the stuff Calvin Natt said a few weeks ago (about her not having the best reputation among the Spurs organization) was pretty much confirmed by another report saying the same thing and actually more wide spread than what he told us (unless....CALVIN NATT IS THE REPORTER!?!), I think it pretty much shows that maybe, juuuuuuuuuuuust maybe, this isn't sexism at work?
Thanks. Glad you like the avatar. I was under the impression that bringing interesting points of view to the board and letting others know what is being published about the Blazers was part of the mission here. Perhaps you believe the goal is only to post things that are flattering to the Blazers and their players?
If this is the kind of caterwauling that results when Harmon doesn't get hired, it is going to make it hard for her to even get an interview. How many interviews did other coaches have to go through before getting their first head job?
There was a story about a coach who had to wait 25 years. (I don't remember who, it was mentioned recently). Look at Ime, he was an assistant for longer than she was, and if we're going to say that her career in the WNBA trumps that, then you'd have to say CB's career in the NBA is a qualifier too. Look at someone like David Vanterpool, he's been in the coaching ranks for 14 years (5 in Moscow, 7 here and 2 in Minnysota). He's had at least 5 interviews for a head coaching spot, and couldn't even get his own team (Minnesota) to interview him for their open head coaching spot recently. Maybe people aren't as qualified for jobs as we fans/media think? That's not to say there aren't re-treads who constantly get jobs (that they don't deserve).
Yeah, these ones are the most concerning, when it tries to pass off an agenda that we don't know if it even exists.
that's EXACTLY what you'd tell us if you didn't want us to know you're the reporter! I'm on to you! Hell, I bet you're not even Calvin Natt!
