The San Francisco Bulls will be entering their second year. In the first year, they learned a lot, made lots of memories and broke records. Year two is destined to be even better. Coach Pat Curcio sat down with me to talk about the past, the future and lessons learned. Last season, the Bulls were one of four expansion teams and the only team to advance to the post-season. They faced the Alaska Aces in the first round, a team that had the best record in the league. The Bulls were eliminated in five games, but they did not go down without a fight. A season of interesting facts, Dean Ouellet scored the Bull’s first ever goal, and capped the season by scoring the last goal of the season, during the playoff game against the Alaska Aces. In addition, he scored the Bulls’ first ever hat trick, against the Stockton Thunder. Goaltender Thomas Heemskerk was in the net for the team’s first ever shutout, as wells as the first team member to earn a league award, when he was Player of the Week in November.
