    7:00 PM on CBC. Toronto opens up the season against the defending champion Detroit Red Wings. I know the experts predict us to suck, but I have a feeling this team could go all the way this year!

    How about that? A 1-0 Toronto lead after the 1st period. Don't think many people would've predicted that. We lucked out with that Osgood gaffe, but the Leafs are playing solid D and are skating hard so far.

    The played a lot better for most of the game but the Leafs made the most of their chances. Nice way to start the season.
