Surely the prices have to come down. For those who are currently on a plan, do you feel slighted that the price you paid was for a playoff team? .
I've talked to several season ticket holders and none of them are happy. There was another raise (albeit a small one) and there have been larger increases recently. They feel like they are paying for a playoff quality team with no where close to that level of talent.
The last two seasons have been underpriced and the playoff run was very generous. I do not have 100 level seats but they have always treated me good during the tough times. Not worried about the six seats I have access to.
Now you really will be paying for the quality of the other team since the Blazers will be crap for the foreseeable future.
It's a bunch of bullshit. The revenue goes up with the new TV deal so what happens? The players and owners both see dollar signs, and no one (not even the media) mentions that along with sharing the extra revenue, that maybe they should also share it with the fans. Lower the ticket prices you greedy fucks!
Lowering prices just puts the money into the hands of scalpers. It was good to see that the Seahawks reclaimed tickets from ticket agencies recently though. As a few others have said, with falling prices the die hards will still go to the game. I know I will definitely be there more often due to demand being lower. Flex pricing will also allow the team to sell as cheap as they need to.
I have Orange tickets and I'm afraid I won't be able to sell the games I can't make it to without taking a big hit. I guess the bright side is that maybe the upgrade prices for 100 level will plummet.
Depends which Orange seats you have and how many games you are looking to get rid of. As said, the Blazers have adjusted to make sure season ticket holders are rewarded for loyalty. The trade policy is big and would use it for games you have a harder time getting value. Definitely take advantage of the upgrade app though. Two of my seats are tans and bought them specifically with upgrading in mind. Another thing to take into consideration is the difference in pricing among games. Remeber that even though you are quoted a certain price for tickets when renewing, you are playing more for the premium games and less for teams like Philly on a non-holiday weekday early November. Have a friend that would cry about getting the average price on the lower tiered games last year. Had to remind them that they got $100 for Cleveland so they can take $10 for Charlotte.
@johncanzanobft: Mary calls radio show, says of her Blazers season-ticket renewal in Feb: “I thought I bought a Cadillac but got a Ford Fiesta.” @750TheGame>>>> Ouch.
