Do we want to make the playoffs in the faint hope that we get hot and progress a round or two, or do we want to have a shot at a high pick in what's supposed to be a loaded draft?
Honestly, now that Dame's got the scoring record, I'd be happy to see him sit out. If I thought we could get even a decent defense with him and Anfernee as our starting backcourt, I might reconsider, but all signs point to bottom-five-in-the-league, and I think I get angrier at watching teams scoring on us like there's nobody there than I get happy at watching Dame and Ant raining threes.
We have a winning record. Are less than five games from 1st no one is running away with it. can we at least wait until the trade deadline to ask if we should tank considering we are a top 6 with a winning record? come on Rasta. You this bored? Lol.
Our stats have never looked great. We've been solidly middle-of-the-pack - we were winning the games like OKC last night earlier in the season, but karma is catching up with us.
I want the top 12 teams in the west to continue to have parity. That way if we miss the playoffs but are still over 500, I would not be disappointed by being in the lottery. But no fucking way would I even suggest tanking.
we look middle of the road, unless me make an all-in type move before the deadline, I would prefer not tanking but yet giving more minutes to Sharpe and Keon to develop those guys, problem is we have a glut at the position they play and GPII is not yet back. So we have to ask do we move an expiring Hart or even GPii if he plays well before the deadline? I hope we explore trading ANT since Dame likely ain't going anywhere, but that's just me
This is a good season to go for the title. There is no dominating team. Win 6 or 7 in a row and we’re the 3 seed or better. At one point, Boston seemed to be pulling away from the pack but then they lost back to back games against Orlando. Meanwhile, the Bucks lost to Houston. The title is absolutely there for any team that wants it enough. I’d love VW, who wouldn’t but even if we tanked to the very bottom of the standings, chances are low, that you win the #1 pick.
How so? We are 2 games behind the 3 seed with an easy schedule upcoming. I think top 3 seed is a contender.

Is the premise of this thread that unless a team has a strong shot at making it to the finals, as determined less than half way into the season, they should try to not make the playoffs? If so I disagree. IMO the Blazers look like a playoff team, and should try to make the playoffs for the sake of playing in the playoffs, and see what happens. Trying to tank with this team would look blatantly ridiculous. And SMH at the idea of sitting Dame for the rest of the season to try to be in the lottery. What the actual fuck?
So, although Dame has been amazing for a decade, and the team has made the WCF, somehow this is the year we're going to attract a big FA?
