Stan Van Gundy is not going to brag about his Detroit Pistons being 16-25 midway through the season.

Considering they were 5-23 at one point, though, he knows it could be a lot worse.

"I told our guys that we're still only 16-25, and that's a long way from worrying about making the playoffs," the coach said. "That's just a distraction anyway. We need to be thinking about stopping the pick-and-roll, finding a way to make shots and finding a way to finish games.

"If we do all those things, the wins and the standings will take care of themselves."

Saturday night's 107-89 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers finished off an impressive 12-day stretch for the Pistons, who went 6-2 despite practicing only once in almost two weeks.
