The lack of a first-round pick, for now, is secondary to the development of the young players. And those players will gain experience during the playoffs, when the intensity level increases to something they never saw during the regular season, even when they had to win seven of their last nine games just to make the postseason.

"I can't wait," Korver said. "All those big games - that's why you play the game. You don't play for blowouts. You play for nail-biters and the games that really matter. I'm trying not to blow it up too much in my head, because I don't want to overwhelm myself. I'm going to try to approach it like a regular game, but I don't know if that's possible."

"I don't care who we play," Allen Iverson said. "I just feel like, if you throw the ball up, then we've got an opportunity. That's not cockiness or arrogance. I'm just confident in my teammates, in myself and in our coaching staff."</div>

well, to me, the smart thing to do is to do a sign and trade deal by signing willie and trading for a first rounder. i mean, then at least we will get a young player and hope he developes into a better player. as for how much impact the player will have, well, he probably won't have much since we probably won't trade with a team high in the draft. also, this year's draft isn't considered to be deep. by the way, if you didn't know, we don't have a first rounder next year either htax to the glenn robinson trade. Who's going to give them a 1st round pick for Willie Green though?

I think the 76ers are in a tough spot after this year. 3 young free agents to sign without any cap space. Is King willing to pay an enormous luxury tax for a team that is a low seed in the playoffs again?
